Sara Alonso, PhD
Postdoc
A New Jersey native, Sara received both her BA and PhD from Rutgers University, where her thesis work focused on the crosstalk between the intestinal microbiota and gd intraepithelial lymphocytes. While she loves the world of mucosal immunology, for her postdoc, Sara wanted to transition into maternal research with the goal of expanding current knowledge in the field and improving health outcomes for individuals who give birth. When she’s not in the lab, you can find her enjoying several cups of coffee and spending quality time with her friends and family.
