CBRM Retreat!

Fun times at the first annual Regenerative Medicine Institute Retreat!
Rachel gave her first seminar as a faculty member – appropriately, for the Department of Cell Biology seminar series! It was wonderful to visit future colleagues and NYC!

Dr. Zwick’s article, “Regional organization of nutrient absorption across the small intestine,” has been selected to be featured on the cover of Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology October 2026 issue!

Fieldtrip to the New York Academy of Medicine’s remarkable Rare Books Room to learn about the etymology of the intestine for an upcoming literature review. Many thanks to Arlene, the NYAM Historical Collections Librarian, for hosting me for such a productive and fascinating visit. Stay tuned for our review…
It has been so much fun to connect with multiple waves of visitors from the Klein Lab! First David, Ameera, and Jessi, and Jackson in NY for a conference, then Ophir who gave a fantastic talk for the NYU Dental School. Thank you for visiting our lab and come back soon!
Playing with our department’s new light sheet microscope – the first of this model in the US!
