Explore the intricate molecular patterns that span the small intestine.

Navigate single cell transcriptomic data from adult mouse and human small intestinal epithelia at an unprecedented spatial resolution! Mouse data reflects 30 equal segments across the entire length of the small intestine of pooled male and female mice. Human data are biopsy samples collected from the center point of each of 30 even segments across the complete length of the small intestine from a male organ donor. For detailed methods and to learn how we used this data to define 5 domains of nutrient metabolism in the small intestine, see Zwick et. al. Nature Cell Biology (2024).
